You’re weekly Leith-Built Ship Photo

They were not all large magnificent sailing ships that were built at Leith, a great many were specialised one off type ships, such as tugs & Dredgers. Many were working ships which the rest of the mercantile marine could not do without.

The Manchester Ship Canal Co, was a large customer of the Henry Robb Shipyard, many of these small working ships were built for them, including Ship No 381 MSC Panther in 1950 (Photograph is from the MSC Archives and shown with permission)
