SS Palmella Ship No 233

SS Palmella, built by Ramage & Ferguson, Ltd., Leith in 1913 and owned at the time of her loss by Ellerman Lines, Ltd., Liverpool, was a British steamer of 1352 tons. On August 22nd, 1918, Palmella, on a voyage from Liverpool to Lisbon, was sunk by the German submarine UB-92 (Johannes Paul Müller), 25 miles NW1/2W from South Stack Rock. 28 people were lost.
