As the website and Blog is about ships and the sea, we shall endeavour to bring news about a ship built at one of the Leith Shipyards to you each week.
We begin this series with one of my favourite ships, one that features heavily in Leith-Built Ships Vil. II, They Once Were Shipbuilders.
The beautiful five masted barque Kobenhavn, built at the Ramage & Ferguson shipyard at Leith. She was the largest sailing ship ever built in the British Isles.
Launched from the Leith yard in March 1921
