Maritime Art & Books - Leith Shipbuilding

Been a wee while since I have had any time to add to my Blog, and I don't use AI, so it all takes a bit of time, the one thing we cannot buy.

We have a nice print from a Dutch artist to show you first, she is at the time of her launch the largest & most powerful ocean going salvage tug in the world. Seen in this painting without her huge "A" Frame.

The above painting brings me nicely to my next subject as the cover of the 4th Book in the series of Ships Built at Leith features a nice photo of the huge tug in dry dock at Singapore.

Ship 516 was launched at Leith in 1976.

With it being not that long to Xmas, as the nights are fair drawing in as they used to say, it is a good reminder to get your presents in early.
