Leith Built Ship - SEAFORTH SOVEREIGN

Updated: Oct 8, 2020

SEAFORTH SOVEREIGN Ship No 531 was an order for an oil supply ship from Seaforth Maritime. Thought wrongly at the time to be the beginning of many such vessels built for the booming North Sea Oil industry. Politics in the shape of British Shipbuilders would get in the way as they had other ideas, with much of the work diverted to Hall Russell at Aberdeen who had a covered building berth.

She was launched in May 1982.
