Scotland’s Shipyards -
This yard was based at Alloa, a bit further upstream from Grangemouth. The yard was an amalgamation of a number of smaller yards all taken over by Vickers Ltd, during World War One. They built a number of ships in the ensuing years before Vickers Ltd closed the yards down in 1923.
